What is I.D.?
Interior Design is a talented group of individuals, each gifted in a variety of areas, which have joined forces to partner with churches in order to help them build a ministry with a strong structure and creative program opportunities.  It is a subsidiary of Sonshine Avenue Ministry, Inc., which has been actively involved in Children's Ministry for over 22 years. I.D. assists churches of all sizes and denominations in discovering their own Identity by helping them formulate their churches vision and mission into ministry and programs that are fresh, exciting and eternal!

Interior Design Mission Statement: Interior Design seeks to help churches develop a Personal Identification (I.D.) for their Children's Ministry by sharing strategies that strengthen and cultivate an environment where God's will can be fulfilled.

Why Use I.D.?
Bringing in an "outsider" that has no preconceived ideas can bring creative objectivity and valuable input into the evaluation and implementation process. I.D. brings a wide variety of experiences, ideas and methods that have been tried and tested through many different churches over the years. I.D. will lead your ministry team into asking themselves tough questions, evaluating where they are and where they would like to go and in helping them chart their course to get there.

How does I.D. work?
Here are the A, B, C's of Interior Design.

A - Assess - Assessing and evaluating the existing ministries and programs based on the mission and purpose of your church is the 1st phase of Interior Design. This is a critical step in identifying and communicating who you are and what you are about. It is the actual blueprint for building an effective ministry.

B - Build - Building your Ministry Team is the 2nd phase in the process. Bringing on board your church family is an exciting way to get those "Pew Potatoes" up and turn them into "Hot Potatoes" by plugging them into ministry. This not only helps the church to get their people to "buy into the program," but it gets them involved and provides volunteers to help reach this generation with the love of Jesus Christ. This is the foundation needed to insure the ministry is solid.

C - Cultivate - Cultivating your volunteers and turning them into a Team is the 3rd phase. Planting the vision and mission of the ministry along with teaching them and equipping them to reach children in a new and exciting way is the best investment you can make to insure that your church and the Kingdom of God reaps the greatest benefits.This is the framework to which all else will hang upon.

Building Team Spirit / Training and Equipping

D - Design - Designing and building the themed environments is the 4th and final phase in the Interior Design Process. From small group "theatres" to large group worship centers, providing the right atmosphere for learning and bringing necessary props and sets alive will raise your ministry to another dimension. This phase is the "decorating" phase where we add the bells and whistles to your ministry programs.  We have recently started a new company known as Dream Big Studios that comes in to assist with this part.

I.D. has been created to meet the needs of the local church at various levels of growth and development. Whether you are just starting out or your church is just ready for a new approach to ministry, Interior Design can help.

Our heart is to help local churches of all sizes and denominations. Regardless of your budget or lack thereof, it is our desire to assist pastors and church volunteers in reaching as many children with the Gospel of Jesus Christ in a fun, entertaining and educational way by helping them "color outside the lines."
